I wanted to pick the brains of the hive here...are there any places in the Sarasota, Florida area that a PaleoHacker should definitely hit up?

I am already trying to locate a good source of raw cream that I can freeze and pack up (for my pet, obviously) for the return trip north since I only have access to raw whole milk near my home state. Any suggestions there would be appreciated, too.

I went to college in the SRQ, but it I wasn't paleo back then.

I highly recommend C'est La Vie, which is a legit Parisian restaurant that is really cheap for what you get. They have omelets and an amazing salmon/tuna salad, called the Norwegienne (sp?) I believe. It's a shame that, being paleo, you won't get to try their baked goods, but if you're looking for a cheat...

Also, on Main Street, there's a northern Italian place called Cafe Epicure. Though pasta is their specialty, I'm sure they have plenty of meat-based dishes on offer. I remember their pounded chicken with tomatoes and arugula being a standout, though I believe the chicken is lightly breaded.

Finally, the Amish place Yoder's is kind of a must.
