What type of workout? Do you normally tolerate dairy well? What are your goals - fat loss, strength gains, increased endurance, etc? – Todd B May 29 at 19:01

Could be. If you tolerate dairy I think so. It has sugars, amino acids, healthy fats. I wouldn't overdo it though. I think that a raw egg, raw milk smoothie with a bit of fruit, greens, and some superfoods sound wondeful for a post-workout recovery drink.

Always remember. Experimentation is key. If it works for you and your getting good results I see no reason to shun the use of healthy raw-milk.

Or, you know, pasteurized milk. – Kasra May 30 at 16:31

Alan Aragon argued convincingly that chocolate milk is a better post-weight training drink than a major "recovery" drink.

If you're doing Insanity (like your comment says), milk is fine. If you were doing longer steady-state or met-con on a regular basis, I'd say go for some carbs or simple sugars to replenish your glycogen stores. If you were just building muscle, I'd dose up on the protein and fat. If you're not drained from one workout going into the next one, and you tolerate dairy well, milk isn't going to do you any harm.
