Not a hypothetical "anyone out there", I mean any of YOU fellow PHers of course.
Simple question, does anyone consume a LOT of dairy and not just tolerate it but actually seem to thrive on it? And I don't just mean dairy fats like HWC, butter and ghee.
I ask because I have been pretty strict and careful with my diet for a pretty long time. I feel really great, and I am almost at my goal weight/body comp. I work out hard, play hard, and rest hard. So I am not really looking to lose more weight, but I would like to continue leaning out/getting stronger (without chunking up.) Aside from HWC and butter, the only dairy I consume is the rare little bit of cheese (very rare), and every now and then when I really feel like I need a treat, I'll have some Greek yogurt with cinnamon. I do also eat goat kefir on a fairly regular basis.
So I know no one can tell me what my body will thrive on, n=1 and all the obvious cliches. But the thing is, as much as I love steak, eggs, and my beloved greens, as much as I love bacon, and mushrooms, and all of my favorite paleo treats... I love yogurt. It's my favorite food. Full fat Greek yogurt, I could eat it all day every day and nothing else. I would really love to majorly up my yogurt intake (while still consuming lots of meat, eggs and veg.) I feel like it would be one of the best gifts I could give myself, as I really do feel pure joy when I consume it.
I am a bit nervous to experiment with eating too much of it because the only Paleo person I have seen on here who talks about eating lots of yogurt while leaning out is Nance; usually I just read about how it stalls weight loss or causes bloating. Note that I am a 24 y.o female, active, good but not great shape.
So, I would love to hear from anyone who consumes lots of yogurt or other dairy (milk, dairy kefir, cheese, whatever) and thrives on it. I would especially like to hear from other women, or anyone who includes it in their "leaning out" diet as opposed to a "bulking up/mass gain" diet, but any input would be helpful!
