I would imagine we all go through phases where a particular food or combination of foods delights us.

I've just recently fallen in love with snacking on a single square of Lindts 85% Dark Chocolate, with a spoonful of double Devonshire cream on top. (Mmmmmmm)

What's your current favourite indulgence?

Not entirely sure this is a snack, but the other day I was literally dying for energy (have recently kicked coffee) and had a spoon of butter with honey and cinnamon sprinkled on top...dont judge...it was delicious! and totally did the trick :)

it's insanely good. I can't begin to describe...well actually...kind of like have butter and honey and cinnamon on toast ... but without the toast...and just the sweet buttery goodness :) it seriously hits every spot! – mzrdnan May 30 at 21:16

Strawberries - it's that time of year. Soon to be replaced by sour cherries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries.....

I'll see you your pork rinds, and add you "Pork rinds with melted cheese on top". Damn it's good to be lacto-paleo. – Bristlebeard May 30 at 18:53

Raw sunflower seeds, browned in coconut oil, and then salted. Next time, I might add some garlic.

I call it "chocolate soup": Equal parts 90% chocolate and coconut butter; Heat in the microwave for 30 sec or so; eat with a spoon.

Greek yogurt, cinnamon and either berries or banana mixed in is my favorite dessert. It just feels so decadent – MissBrenna May 30 at 16:36

Last night after skipping supper to be able to make it to granddaughter's 8th grade play on time, I was very hungry when we got home late in the evening. I found some leftover mashed potatoes in the fridge, nuked them added a dab of Kerrigold butter ate them and went to bed and slept like a baby. Who knew what a comfort a few leftover potatoes could be?

I had trouble sleeping a few weeks back - somewhere on paleohacks someone mentioned that carbs for your last meal helps. Been sleeping pretty well since! I wish they sold Kerrygold in my neck of the woods - you guys always make it sound so satisfying! – Spindrift May 30 at 15:31

A couple of pieces of Taza chocolate. Stone ground chocolate with minimal ingredients, gluten-, soy-, dairy-free. Has a bit of a gritty texture, I love it!

Bacon. Stick some in the old George Forman and let it cook until it's crispy and then eat it. Lick fingers, repeat.

For something sweet, a chunk of frozen banana. You can also whizz up a few chunks of frozen banana with some young coconut pulp for drooltastic icecream.

As I rarely ever eat any fruit or starchy vegetables or honey for that matter, I just think sugar is sugar is sugar and make homemade ice cream with 70% dark chocolate and a tablespoon or two of molasses sugar. I looooove it, but I do think I love bacon more. Also I think the mixture tastes better before than after freezing it.

And of course I will line a small ovenproof glass container with Chedddar cheese, then a small amount of salsa, then top it with Havarti cheese and then top that with Cheddar cheese again. Pop it into the oven, let the cheese brown and then enjoy. I frequently burn my mouth eating this because I am in no way patient enough to wait for it to cool down.

I think you should add bacon into that ice cream! – Brooke May 31 at 20:13

I don't snack anymore but the most favorite food after a workout or such is pineapple.

My favorite meal is cubed onion with cubed sweet potatoes and garlic + heart/sausages/hamburgers/ground beef and as soon as everything's properly baked I add almost a cup of bone broth to it.

My favorite paleo snack would cause a conventional nutritionist to pass out. I melt some butter, and put a little garlic salt in it. Then I use celery stalks to dip into the salted, melted butter. If I run out of celery stalks, then I put nuts in the butter and spoon it out. (:->)

A serving of 4 squares has 3g sugar. I think it's tastier than the 85%! It is somehow richer and smoother without being too bitter. It is delicious! – MissBrenna May 30 at 16:40

It's settled then - I'm trying the 90% next, thanks MissBrenna! After that I may brave the 99%... – Spindrift May 30 at 18:05

Spanish Goats-milk Manchego cheese and berries.
Avocado w/Salt and lime
My wife's leftover Adobo Chicken after it's refrigerated and gelatinized, eaten with mangos. (Sure, there is quite a bit of soy sauce in there, we use low-so Tamari as coconut aminos simply didn't work.)

I just cut up four or five strawberries, covered them with about a tablespoon of heavy cream, topped with a teaspoon or so of roasted pecans and a teaspoon or so of coconut flakes. It was heavenly.

I used to hate strawberries.
