How come, since going paleo 4 weeks ago, I've never felt so good? I think clearly, I'm more alert/aware, I'm bouncing off the walls with energy, I'm more motivated, my house is cleaner, my sex drive is through the roof, my body fat is dripping off me...everything is better!!! Does anyone else feel this way? How come when I tell non-paleos this, they laugh at me? Think I'm nuts?

Welcome to eating well and taking care of yourself! It's a glorious thing, isn't it? It only gets better from here. When people laugh at you, which they shouldn't but it shows how narrow thinking folks can be, just continue on smiling and enjoying yourself. As I am Ninja style, I don't use the Paleo moniker, I simply say when asked something along the lines of "it's amazing what happens when you sleep, eat real whole foods, and move about your life in happiness - isn't it?" Cheers and may the force be with you :) |

Amazing, isn't it? You are not nuts! If you were nuts, then this website wouldn't exist! This what going Paleo does! |

I think the fat loss is the biggest benefit in the beginning. Burning fat unlocks energy, makes you look better, makes you feel better, gives you positive reinforcement for what you're doing, fixes hormones, etc. I think there are lots of other benefits to paleo (i.e., reduced risk for disease) that are (at least for those of us that are generally "healthy") harder to see short-term and maybe even harder to pinpoint/prove long-term, but I definitely believe they are there too. Fat loss gets many to board the paleo/primal train, and long-term health/longevity hopefully keeps us from getting off at the next stop. Keep it up! |

Good stuff, huh? Feeling good is absolutely worth the relinquishing of particularly snacky junk foods. I do have to warn you though: proceed with caution, in that you don't become a super evangelist to whom the general public directs excessive distaste. Alright, I'm done adding a bit of rain to your parade, so KEEP GOING AND ENJOY! |

I also can't believe that for the last two weeks, my anxiety and depression (which I have always managed myself w/o medicine) have completely left the building! |
