In reading several articles on probiotics, and being given some outstanding advice from the pH community on how to deal with my GERD issues. I'm wondering what all the fuss is about FOS? I'm going to do a week of ZC, per Melissa's suggestion, and during that time repopulate my gut flora with probiotics. Should I go no FOS? Or will it matter tremendously? The FOS is made from Apricot powder if that makes any difference, and I've taken them before, and my digestion didn't seem that all affected. I got stomach cramps but that turned out to be from eating to much damn dried fruit at the beginning of my paleo days, haha. I've already taken these for two days low carb, and diarrhea is no longer an issue. I'm just not sure if this is overall counter-intuitive to the plan.
PS. I haven't started the ZC just yet. I'm VLC (swallowing from GERD has gotten tremendously better, still some reflux, but the pressure and swallowing troubles seem almost gone--yay!).
