Does it make cramps worse for anyone? I'm a first time user and not having issues with inserting it properly or comfortably, but I've been under a heating pad for two and a half days now. That's not normal for me. General input welcomed.

I have noticed on a few occasions when I have been in a hurry and left it slightly concave and applying what I assume is a slight amount of suction that my cramps are worse. But if I am careful to break the seal once it is where I want it and let a little air in I don't notice any increase in cramping. |

While I don't use a divacup/ladycup etc, I will say that my first two periods since going Paleo have been wayyy heavier and more crampy. Not sure how long you've been Paleo, but figured it was worth mentioning. |

I used a Keeper for about ten years, with the occasional break. I didn't notice a difference with cramps, and I've endometriosis issues galore. BUT: I did have to quit using it - couldn't handle the physical pressure anymore (again, the endo). Such a bummer. I wish menstrual cups weren't so stigmatized. They're such an improvement on bleached rayon and plastic... |

Proud Diva Cup owner here! I've had cramping issues myself, especially when I first went Paleo - and my only solution to this is not the cup itself but your diet. I find I really need to load up on carbs the few days before my period gets going - eat a sweet potato a day, a banana for breakfast..etc. It really seriously works for me. I haven't had a problem ever since. |

I haven't noticed any difference, but have read plenty of stories from women who do cramp more. |

I use a LadyCup (basically the same thing) and no, it has never made my cramps worse. This site has a huge amount of info on menstrual cups: http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/ |

Will NEVER go back to tampons-- from a cost, comfort, and convenience (not to mention chemical!) perspective, the Diva Cup is a far better choice. I have not noticed a difference in cramping-- my first month on Paleo was a bit heavier/crampier, but now that I'm a few months in, that's no longer the case. |
