What is the one thing (or the few things) that you just can't eat? I know that we all have foods we just can't take, so I'm just curious how what they are!
For me, I can not eat raw tomato and 99% of fish. I try all the time but I just can't get past the flavor/texture.
The first thing that immediately came to mind was KIDNEYS. Way worse than liver. I actually really love liver.
Also, Brussels sprouts, canned fish and dry, unseasoned chicken.
My first thought was black coffee, although of course it's not food anyhow. At least I enjoy the coffee after adding cream and honey; tea, on the other hand, tastes awful to me even when sweetened.
I don't like oysters AT ALL and have always refused to eat anything with that flavor. I don't like licorice either, although the "fresh" licorice taste of fennel works just fine for me.
Otherwise, I wish I were a little more picky because my general problem with food is that I like it too much.
EDIT: Oh, I forgot what may be my strongest Yuck!(see, I wiped them from my mind.) For me, avocado has the worst taste of anything. I've tried it whole and in dip form and there's nothing you can mix it with that allows me to call it edible.
I'm not a fan of kidneys or green olives. I have tried for so long to just casually eat green olives, and every time it makes me gag. A nice cured black olive- no problem. Green olives- slimy grossy nastiness. Kidneys taste exactly like what I imagine excretion would taste like, which is probably the fastest way to ruin a dinner.
I can't think of any other foods I dislike. Apart from perfectly good foods prepared the completely wrong way. Like overcooked fish- crime against the fish AND humanity.
