In Australia, we pay about $20 per kilo, or ~$10 per pound. If you go for organic nuts at specialty shops, the price is quite a bit higher. And for people living in Queensland, the price can be very low, in pick-your-own situations. |

I bought on Amazon 5Ib raw macadamias for $29.50 (+$7shipping), which makes them ~$6 per 1Ib. I dry roasted them myself, separated in small bags. Great deal! |

$10.93/LB at Miller's Natural Food Store in Bird-in-Hand, PA (near Lancaster/Leola). Weaver's Nut & Candy Outlet in Ephrata, PA is probably cheaper, but way out of the way for me. |

one can buy broken nuts - average about 5 pcs from each nut, at $5 to $7 per lb from a few online retailers. If you don't care much about presentation, they are a good option. |

i get them for free, unless you count time/expended energy as a cost. but the mature tree in my backyard does not charge me anything. Update: but when the tree is not dropping its nuts, we buy the Muana Loa 24oz container at Costco for $13.99. 2 ingredients: Mac nuts, salt. Dry Roasted. I wish I could find them raw and without salt at that price.
Another update: a great example of a complete consumer rip-off. |

I usually buy them at 20 euros a kilo (raw) in Spain... = $9.08 per pound. Plus shipping. I usually buy lots of other stuff along with the nuts to spread the costs out. |
