Here is what I stopped eating... grains (breads, pasta, rice, crackers, etc.) potatoes, dairy (with an occasional cheat with a hard salty cheese, feta) sugar (candy, honey) peanuts/cashews, fruit juice
What I do eat... meat, eggs, fruits, vegetables, almonds, walnuts... try to eat grass fed meats (eat around the outside of the store, not up and down the aisles of processed stuff)
I look great, and feel great, and my numbers with my doc are fantastic!
