So, my husband and I are going to be in the Boston area for about a week for my sister-in-law's wedding. Are there any must experience paleo-friendly restaurants we should look into visiting while we're there? We'll be staying in Lexington and Ipswich, and I'd actually like to avoid driving into Boston proper unless there's somewhere so mind-blowingly awesome that it's worth fighting through tourist-season traffic. Suggestions?

In case you haven't already, I recommend checking out some of the previous threads on Boston restaurants. A click on the boston tag will bring them up. – Sara S. Jun 17 2012 at 4:54

Yeah, I checked out previous tags and made some notes, but I know the restaurant industry can change pretty dramatically in short periods of time, so I thought I'd check and see if anyone had any new favourites! Thanks for the tip, though. – Ariel G. Jun 17 2012 at 23:51

I was there recently and enjoyed Fire and Ice, a Mongolian BBQ place.

I had luck at the local pubs or hotel restaurants with a steak or seafood with veggies and/or a salad.

I did occasionally have potatoes as I was walking to and from work every day.

Unfortunately, I haven't been too thrilled with the restaurant scene here in Boston. If you want some cocktails, there are some good choices, and they tend to be very accommodating for food intolerances (namely, Eastern Standard and The Gallows). Elephant Walk is nice, too, but difficult to find dishes without rice.

I'm entirely unfamiliar with Lexington and Ipswich, though. I've only tried restaurants close in. Good luck!
