I'm currently using a generic essence of beauty bath sponge/scrubbie made of nylon mesh and I want something more natural but softer - not an exfoliating type.

I'm trying to avoid plastics and fake materials so if you have any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

I am also looking for a natural body scrubber! I threw out the old loufa I had been using... I always wondered if the dyes and synthetic material may not be the best things to rub all over my body... – Courtney Jun 23 at 12:38

I gently use a plain white cotton cloth about twice a week. The rest of the time I just use my bare wet hands.

Probably not a popular method, but it works well for me. Less is more, I suppose.

I use natural grass sponges bought last time I was in Tarpon Springs, FL. If you google grass sponges Tarpon Springs you'll find plenty of companies that ship them, and also other natural sponges species.

I use a shower mit that I made by sewing together two ayate fiber washcloths. I like ayate fiber because it is exceptionally rough and scratchy, so that's something you'll want to avoid.
