Thanks all, for your comments. I'm going on four weeks now and definitely feel less fatigued (YAY!!!), although I can't see a change in my physical appearance and am feeling a little frustrated.
When I ate strictly GF, I ate pretty clean, although I did eat gluten-free grains such as rice, quinoa and buckwheat. I gave all of those things up as well as corn, beans, etc. I am pretty much eating Primal since I occasionally will have dairy. Could that be the reason I'm not seeing any results?
At the same time I changed my diet, I also increased the intensity of my workouts (I work out six hours a week: two hours strength, two hours cardio and two hours yoga). I switched trainers and now work out with the equivalent of a male Jillian (from Biggest Loser :o)), started doing hot yoga and am doing more high intensity interval cardio.
I am 45 years old. 5 feet, 4.5 inches and weight about 122. My body fat percentage was 24% five weeks ago. I am going to have my trainer check it again next week to see if anything has changed.
I'm getting frustrated and not sure what to do next. I will not give up my primal diet because I know it is a healthier way to eat. But why does it work for so many others and not me?
