I have been eating paleo for 3 months. During the first month I lost 8 pounds and was really happy with the eating plan. Since that time, I have not been able to lose a single pound. In fact, I have gained 3 pounds. I have tried everything I can think of and am now looking for suggestions/advice.
A typical day eating wise looks like this:
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with 3 pieces of bacon Lunch: spinach salad with hard boiled eggs, avocado, grilled chicken and olive oil & balsamic viengar (sometimes I add fresh mozzarella) Dinner: a piece of grilled meat (either flank steak, london broil or chicken) plus grilled mushrooms
Snack: cashews (I have recently cut out cashews as I have read on this site that they can inhibit weight loss)
As for exercise, I follow a 4 day on, 1 day off philosophy.
Day 1: Run 30 minutes plus arm workout Day 2: Bike 45 minutes plus leg workout Day 3: Interval jog/sprint 25 minutes plus 45 minutes walking Day 4: Bike 45 minutes Day 5: OFF
I am desperate for help! I should add that I get about 7.5 hours of sleep every night. I have also never experienced the full feeling that people talk about. I am always hungry. I am convinced something is wrong with me! I know you all must get sick of these types of questions but I really have no where else to turn for advice. If I am doing something wrong, I would like to fix it. Oh also, I need to lose at least 15 pounds to be within a healthy BMI, although I would like to lose 25 in order to fit into my clothes again. So it's not like I don't have much to lose.
