Ladies! I was wondering:
- If you've lost a good amount of weight on paleo, have you lost much in your breasts?
- If you haven't, what's your secret?
- Any tips you have on this subject?
I really like mine just the way they are! Hahaha :)

Since no one has really said anything about keeping the ladies big, my secret is avocados! Whether I work out or not, I eat an avocado a day and, luckily, I've been able to keep my boobs from deflating. :) It's also worth it to note that just by eating avocados, I went from a medium 32C to a full 32D. Given the 32 band size means the C/D difference isn't incredibly massive (compared to what anyone with a 36 or 38 or more would have), but it was a huuuge difference to me. Only avocados seem to work; no amount of butter, coconut oil, etc. keeps the weight there, but that could be different for anyone else. Another recommendation would be to include push-ups and other upper-body/chest-building exercises. Even if your boobs get a little smaller on paleo, builing up the muscles will have them sitting higher and fuller! |

Yeah, good luck! The first place I lose weight is my boobs. I think you're just going to have to buy a push-up bra and be happy that you're reducing your BMI ;) I'm a B-cup, my sister has something insane like double-Gs (she's tiny, 5"0 tall) and has terrible back pain because of it. I'll stick with my Bs and be grateful for it. |

It doesn't really work that way... Lucky for me, I'm okay with my boobs being any size! |

You don't get to choose where the fat is lost. It's all about genetics and body composition. If, as you gained weight, your breasts got bigger, you will likely lose them as you lose the weight. |

I wish that with Paleo this doesn't happen to me-as with all diets out there-that's where I lost a lot of my inches and went from C to B. Sucks that my arms (hereditary) are fat, so I don't look good either. |

I lost fat everywhere. My proportions are all exactly the same although everything is smaller. |

I lost about 10 lbs but went down by a full cup size. I've been thinner than I am now, but my breasts where bigger when I wasn't paleo. I imagine it was an inflammation issue. In the month where I reintroduced wheat/gluten after avoiding them for about two months, I noticed that my breasts swelled in the week before my period to nearly their former fullness. Otherwise, they're just smaller. When it comes down to vanity, my choice is to eat crap and have fuller breasts along with a bloated belly, or to eat well and have a deflated chest and more flat tummy. |

Yeah, sorry to say but just as there is no way to lose fat from specific areas, there's no way to keep it there! I guess upping your chest training could help push them out a little, but overall you just have to compare how you feel being leaner overall to having bigger boobs. |

sorry but I don't think you get to choose. I loose in my face first followed by my boobs. I'm actually ok with my boobs being ALMOST any size within reason. When I loose fat and gain lean muscle mass my confidence goes through the roof. I find that my attitude and the swagger in my step more than make up for any one body part. Guys either dig it or they don't (all worth having do.) Plus growing up I saw my sister with huge boobs and all the BS that goes with them..no thanks not for me. |

OK, my results may differ, as in the middle of becoming paleo I had two babies (and nursed!) in two years. my youngest is almost 10 months old (and weaned onto hypoallergenic formula thanks to a combo of allergic to everything/no suckle reflex=no supply) my breasts were D's before I got pregnant the first time (I'm 5'10" so they've never looked "huge") and I just got professionally sized (at a REAL bra store, NOT Victoria's Secret!) and SHOCKER OF MY LIFE I'M A 32FF THIRTY-TWO. FF. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT SIZE EXISTED. now, this is IN SPITE of going from 251 (highest pregnancy weight) to 169 in the months since my son was born. I asked my husband and he agrees, that "it must be the good fats"!! So ladies, keep up the fats! |

At 195 lbs I was a 36DD. When I dieted down to 135 lbs on Pritikin/Ornish (10% fat, high carb), I shrunk down to a 34B at ~40 yrs old; I hadn't been that small since I was ~13.5 yrs old. It was one of the reasons I started to regain. Having lost and now maintaining on a high fat (65-75%) very low carb (<10%) paleo diet, at 136 lbs I am a 34D, and I'm 57 and not on any hormone replacement. So in my case, not shying away from fat seemed to preserve the girls better than any other diet. |

I've been waiting to release the results of my n=1 study to my paleo lady friends... ...but preliminary findings of my 4-week-long kefir study indicate that my consumption of ~16oz (sometimes 24oz) raw milk kefir daily has helped the ladies come back! I'm a little excited about this admittedly unsubstantiated health claim. When I started paleo awhile back I was a 38/36C, then went down and have maintained a steady 34C for quite some time. But measurements over the last week or so have me holding strong at 35! I NOTICE THAT INCH! Of course I had to suffer through the first couple days of bloat / gassiness as I got used to consuming kefir, but now I'm thriving on it. So in short, kefir (for me):

When I lose weight, I definitely lose the boobs. So far, this is just how it works. BUT, as I've recently lost weight one benefit that I've noticed is that my smaller boobs are now actually symmetrical. At a heavier weight, they look weirdly mis-matched. The symmetry looks healthier and more attractive to me even if I've shifted from something of a C-cup to the small side of B-cup. Also, having a flatter stomach makes the b's look better by contrast, and as I feel better, healthier, more energetic, lighter on my feet and more confident, it's a trade-off I'm willing to accept. I just wish that there weren't plastic women with the cellophane chests installed because I think these women are the reason many of us sadly feel less-than-adequate at a healthy weight. We and the men that surround us have had our occipital lobes reprogrammed to expect low BF% with big boobs, and it just usually doesn't work that way. Shame. |

Guess I am one of the lucky ones. I've lost about 15 lbs doing Primal. However, that does mean I eat full fat dairy. I've found that by keeping my fat intake pretty high, I get to keep my 34DDD's. to tell you the truth, though, I wouldn't mind going down a cup size. The grass is always greener on the other side I suppose. |

I am 28FF or 26G and that is not as huge as it sounds! (UK) get yourselves measured properly, even if you think you have been done properly in a department store. I do not have back pain, or red marks on my shoulders any more =) on top of that, your boobs will thankyou! Do not add inches to your underbust measurement as it skews the cup measurement! I thought myself a 32D, but my underbust measurement (ribcage) is actually 27. I'm not skinny by anymeans. Recalculated, my measurement is 28ff or 26G. These sizes do indeed exist, i direct you to Brastop, Largecuplingerie and Bravissimo. http://dimpseybrafit.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-guide.html I wrote this as a simple guide with pictures. Hope this helps =) i hate hearing about ladies who stress about their 'big painful bosoms' because its simply not the case if your fitted truly correctly. x |

My opinion is you should lose the weight, enjoy the increased health and confidence (good posture and attitute > bad posture + boobs), and worry about anything else only if it becomes a problem. |

I wish this would happen to me!! I've gone on the pill twice, and both times my breasts have grown like crazy - and they weren't small to begin with! Ejay has good advice, I'm now a 32g. Even when I was unhealthily underweight due to thyroid/gut issues, I just lost band sizes, not cup sizes...I was down to a 28gg (from 32f). I didn't know it was common to drop weight from your breasts too...I guess you learn something new every day :) This shouldn't be seen as a negative thing - if your breasts shrink in proportion to the rest of you, you will still be the SAME cup size. YES, you should be fitted properly and be DROPPING BAND SIZES TOO if you are losing weight. Most people carry extra fat on their back/tummy which will effect the band size quite a bit. And most people wear bands that are too loose to begin with :P |

I'm afraid there's not a whole lot you can do here. I'm well endowed on top and ast my skinniest (5'4" and 125 lbs) I lost a cup size I went down from a D to a C. It was the first and only place I lost fat from (why couldn't it have been from my arms or lower abs or inner thighs? sob sob). I suppose you could build your pectoral muscles, but losing your boobs is inevitable :( |
