I know that are high in PUFA. but they are tasty, and good source of a few different things.

also a lot easier to peel than a coconut xD.

are we talking about avocados? or is this something else? – Renee Jun 28 at 19:07
I totally put them in my tuna fish! I love em and they are a great substitute for mayo or mirical whip. – SCUBABry Jun 28 at 23:19
They're delicious? :) – Blitherakt Jun 29 at 0:15

They're really good. I don't eat them all the time, and not a lot at once, but sometimes for a snack I'll have a slice of avocado and roll 2 thin slices or 1 thick slice of some roasted turkey breast around it. I also eat them as part of a sushi roll when I end up going out for sushi, which is not infrequently. – foreveryoung Jun 29 at 0:24

Yep - avocados are way higher in monounsaturated fat than poly. – Amy B. Jun 28 at 19:14

They are delicious and I eat them weekly.

Other than that?

Dunno. Lots of things have PUFA. Isn't worth the stress over some polyunsats in your day, as long as you are eating enough sat fat as well and it isn't the bulk of your diet.

They're one of my favorite breakfast foods, actually... One avocado, halved, drizzled with some fresh lime juice and sprinkled with grey sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. Yummy!

I like them but they are pretty expensive for a fruit. Also they tend to go bad fast unless treated with some lemon juice.

Tips for avocados: 1. Cut only what you will eat at that meal. 2. If they are oxidizing, you aren't eating them fast enough. 3. Mash avocado with hard-boiled egg yolks and make deviled eggs. 4. Avocado pretty much goes with anything on a plate! – MathGirl72 Jun 28 at 19:19
If you're only going to eat one half, leave the seed in the other half. It will keep it from oxidizing. This also works with guacamole, too. – Mazer Jun 28 at 20:22

That doesn't really work. It only keeps the part the pit is touching from oxidizing. Rubbing with lemon juice does work best, but changes the flavor of the avocado. – MathGirl72 Jun 28 at 20:27

You can also cover the exposed flesh with saran wrap to slow oxidation, though it will eventually brown. – Elunah Jun 28 at 20:41
You can freeze avocado and it won't go brown. I freeze it mashed up and add to smoothies. – cavejen Jun 29 at 3:31
