So I've become very adamant about drumming up awareness about diet, stress, sleep and all things essentially FUBARd in this day and age. I'm sure I'll have to change the name, as AHS may be a copyrighted name, but I would love to get something going of the sort in Louisville, KY http://www.cbsnews.com/2300-204_162-10010463-15.html?tag=page;previous (there we are, number 8...but look at that! Our crime rate is low! Probably because people are too laden up with vegetable oils, PUFAs and hormonal/antibiotic injected chickens from KFC...)

Anyways, I've no real clue how to go about organizing an event like this, but I'm determined to find out how! Any ideas?

AHS or anything like AHS is not what you need. Most people don't want to hear about the science and theory stuff. AHS is geared towards the scientific/academic community more than the lay person. ANS is also not trying to recruit. Everyone there is already dyed in the wool. No conversions to be had there. You certainly can do something though. Start a meet-up in your area to find like-minded people. From there form your own speakers bureau and go out into the community and preach it. Maybe contact your local crossfit gyms and get involved with them doing outreach. – Shari Bambino Jun 29 at 16:15

I'm hoping a Paleo meetup will get started in Louisville as well. I've been doing it on my own for a about two months, but most people just think I'm just a crazy person who eats all the fat on the steak but won't eat fast food.
