Within my first week of paleo I noticed more guys seem to be hitting on me. I don't think it's because of weightloss because that has been slow&steady and I am still what would be considered overweight at this point. (I have no desire to be super lean or even a size 4 so that's not why I'm eating this way. I'm happy with my curves.) Now possibly being more attractive might sound like a good thing...but the drawback is that many of these guys seem to act like little boys & being all jerky when hitting on me.

Anyone else experience things like this? I would be very interested to hear from others about their experiences with Paleo and the opposite sex.

Umm.. IMO a diet doesn't make anyone sexy or sexier but perhaps gained confidence through weightloss is what's happening. You're feeling good, you're putting off confident vibes, boys are noticing :) – jesuisjuba - paleorepublic.com Jul 1 at 14:30

Perhaps your hormones are shifting a bit. Own it! – hannah Jul 1 at 14:37

Definitely YES because you can alter your genes with your diet and lifestyle even when you are older. – VB Jul 2 at 5:28

As an 18 year old guy who was a strict vegetarian for 4 years or so, the paleo diet totally changed my attractiveness by dramatically increasing my testosterone levels. It's probably a mixture of hormonal levels, confidence, and coincidence. :) Cheers

Hell yeah!

What red blooded male (or female) could resist meaty-ketone-breath?

If you have stopped taking birth control it could be that you're giving off the signal that you are fertile.

V shape maybe for men but hourglass seems to be the more natural shape for women. I think paleo has increased that limbal ring in my eyes & that is supposed to make a face look more attractive. Whatever it is, those 20 year olds won't leave me alone...I'd rather date their dads :(

My pheromones have changed since Paleo...and I've been told, I smell like...bacon...bitches follow me down the street and the best part, some of those bitches have some hot female owners! Though I'm not a huge dog fan...I've learned to live with it and use my powers for good.

nice guys get turned down

so they gotta become the bad boys

girls find bad boys attractive.

I didn't vote you down, but I do disagree. I think the 'nice guys...' statement is a line men with skeletons hiding in their closets tell themselves. Every girl asked out (assuming she is single) isn't going to say yes, there's a lot more to the equation. My advice: be real with yourself and others, when turned down let it go, it's probably not as personal as you make it out to be. – Jen Jul 1 at 17:17

This has nothing to do with the question. – Rachel Jul 1 at 20:59

Paleo definitely did something to my dating life, but for me it was a matter of normalizing my sex hormones. I've always wondered what other hidden benefits it might have in this area though. I also find myself more attracted to Paleo eaters, oddly enough (but I suspect that has nothing to do with food). Anyway, don't worry about all the new-found attention, most guys are clueless when it comes to women hahaha!

If it does it's taking its sweet time

Yes, it does make you sexier- feeling good about yourself attracts others :)

I'm just reading Tim Ferriss's 4 hour body where he talks about massively increased testosterone levels on a very Paleo diet...and the subsequent pheromone increases that increase attractiveness. I haven't got to the part where he talks similar impacts for women though...as I'm not sure increased testosterone will work to attract the guys! Maybe someone else has and can update us before I get there... Although to be honest, the male bit interests me more anyway :-)

Taking care of yourself and being confident is sexy. Maybe that's what you are radiating these days!
