I have this new love of eating limes and lemons. To me they taste sweet and I actually eat the citrus and suck out the juice. Is this normal? Does anyone else do this? Do I have some vitamin deficiency? Maybe I'm overlooking this but every around me tastes them as sour and looks at me like I'm crazy. Thanks

It's always been said that Lemon juice is high in acid content, which causes enamel erosion and other dental problems. However, it (like Apple Cider Vinegar) is highly alkalizing IN your body but could potentially have harmful effects if exposed to teeth? How true this is, I'm not sure. However, I eat lemons and limes (slices) but I just make sure to avoid letting it touch the front of my teeth as much as I can (by focusing on chewing with my molars. |

I can't do this but this is FABULOUS that you can. Keep eating them - they are very healthy and good for you. Okinawa's centenarians all eat limes. You are just healthy enough to eat them, that's all. Everybody around you is still on SAD, right? |

I love lemons and limes too but I don't go out of my way to eat them. Just the slices in my carbonated water or garnishes on food. Fortunately, my mouth is very basic (did pH test). I say go for it. You can always chase it with some water to dilute the acid. |
