I know that calcium and magnesium are stored in the bones providing our body with a long term source of minerals if our diet lacks them. The same thing with iron being stored in the liver.
Are there any other minerals that are stored long term?
Phosphorus is also stored in large quantities in bones. The bones store trace minerals too -- silica, boron, vanadium, etc. The liver stores some other trace minerals like zinc, cobalt, copper, manganese which act as co-factors.
