I guess I'm asking this question to perhaps pre-meet like-minded folk in L.A. who are going.

We should stick together? (I'd be nice to have a friend over there).

I don't live in LA but I'm going. You might try registering on the AHS social networking site here and see if anyone from SoCa is there to connect with.

I live in Brooklyn, NY, but I'll be there until the Friday night. A friend of mine booked their wedding on the Saturday. How inconsiderate! :)

Have they announced where future AHS will be? I'm a Paleo nobody but I would love to attend if it ever comes close to the Midwest some year.

A lot of us paleo nobodies go so you'll fit right in. Have not heard a peep on next year. I'd love to go to Chicago although not sure about going in August. – Shari Bambino Jul 23 at 1:05

Ya seriously. I'm pretty Paleo nobody either. I'm Asian so that's a double nobody in the Asian category too. But HEY. I'm healthy. I think. – Knarf Jul 23 at 1:08

I live in the greater Boston area, and happily have tickets. See you there!

Please excuse me from butting into this conversation but I was wanting to pick the brains of of a few Paleo hacks prior to my presentation at this years AHS in Harvard.

What do most of you feel is the causes of the problems described by Weston Price?

I am coming from a very different angle and wanted to be one step ahead before my lecture. thanks,

Mike

Assuming you are even legit, I haven't personally heard anyone in the Paleo world disputing Price's findings - "the problems described by Weston Price" as you call them. And I check 20 blogs daily of the well-knowns in paleoworld. There is no dissonance that I can detect between Paleo-Wisdom and Price's findings. Naturally, I think thinking specifically of a specific set of well known findings, rather than the vague "problems" you refer to. For all I know you found an old dusty paper where he said whole wheat was the best thing since sliced bread. – wildwabbit Aug 2 at 17:25
Wildwabbit, I do certainly hope that I do measure up to your requirements to be legitimate. If you make the AHF conference I am speaking Sat AM. Please excuse the vagueness of my opening comments it is very difficult to know how to angle an approach to a very different community. I am using an orthodontic approach, called orthotropics, to affect facial growth. The problem that we are aiming to treat is the change in facial shape or lengthening that Western Price described but seemed to attribute to Vit A and D deficiency pre conception. I was wondering if this was still a view held? – Orthotropics Aug 3 at 9:25
