Stop eating diet food. Turkey and chicken breast and salad won't satisfy. Eat red meat with the fat on. Have an avocado or some macadamia nuts. |

Eat more, especially more fat. Veggies are good, but they'll only fill you up for a short time--they won't sustain you. Fat, combined with protein, will. |

More meat, heartier vegetables, and more fat. Get some avocado and coconut oil in there. For vegetables, try mushrooms, broccoli, and cauliflower--they're very satiating. If you're trying to sate a sweet tooth, try some high-nutrition, low-GI fruits. |

i was WICKED hungry when i first started, for the first month really. i think it's a blood sugar thing when adjusting to the lack of cereal/cracker/candy/ice cream that used to mainline towards my trap. keep it up, and try new things for you. i tried high fat for a while and i felt so awful on it, but many here claim it's their ticked to food-freedom, so to each his own. i learned i NEED starch or i am a crazy person. it is the key to maintaining energy levels and sating my crazy hungry. keep trying! there are many shades of paleo for the many kinds of eaters. |

What kind of veggies are you eating? I find that leafy greens can fill me up to satiety rather quickly. I'm hungry a lot too - but I also find that my hunger is sometimes more often than not, thirst. I drink a lot of water if it's not meal time :) Try that? |

I was hungry a lot when I started out, partly it was the adjustment to removing whole grains, partly I think I wasn't eating enough protein at breakfast. Now (4 months later) I easily go 5-6 hrs between meals and just eat three meals a day, no snacks. The key for me is plenty of protein and/ or fat at breakfast. So, today for example: Breakfast: 125g turkey mince, two eggs, spinach, mushrooms, broccoli - all cooked in about 1 T coconut oil Lunch: leftover chicken breast wrapped in pancetta, leeks (cooked in butter + pancetta fat), 1/4 an avocado, a few cherry tomatoes Dinner: bowl of chilli (fatty beef mince, tomatoes, spices), roasted cauliflower I'm a 5'7" female, 138lbs. |

Day 5 was the worst for me, but I found that Bananas, Pears, and Apples were my magic bullets for when I am still hungry after a meal. Now (a few weeks later) I am not really all that hungry and I have started to just not eat lunches becuase I just was not hungry. I am loosing weight and I feel terrific. Yes, the hunger sucks...but stick with it and you will be right as rain as soon as you figure out the right balance for you. |

I just went paleo as well. Today is day 5. I have found myself to be much hungrier even though I am eating a ton. I stopped counting calories. I tried to count them, but it messes with your mind. My guts feel better even after only 5days. I do worry about feeling so hungry, but I am told that goes away. I snack on hard boiled eggs, a lot. And this is kind of weird, but I hate bananas, and for the last 3days, I have HaD to have one with some natural peanut butter. Today, that kept me full for awhile. I plan to stick it out. |
