I'm reading alot about carbs.. amount, eating around a workout.. etc. What are the "carbs" on Paleo?? (I know the biggies that are eliminated following paleo..) . Are veggies called "carb" on paleo or are we talking about the fruits and starchier veggies like sweet potatoes?

Sounds like you hit the nail on the head for your own question. Vegetables and fruits are paleo carbs. Some just have more than others. Broccoli is very low calorie, thus low carb, where as sweet potatoes are much higher. Some varieties of squash are higher carb, such as butternut. Some people consider rice a safe carb, although most say it is not technically paleo. With that, we are splitting hairs. Fruits are definitely carb and paleo, but some people mistakenly try to associate paleo with "low carb". |
