Uggg...I have picked up the stomach bug that's going around! It started this morning with diarrhea then moved to vomiting. I've felt horrible so fasting hasn't been a problem. It's been 24 hours now since I've eaten. I have managed to stay relatively hydrated and I'm starting to feel human again. I've decided to wait to eat anything until tomorrow morning assuming I still feel up to it. What's a good food to ease back into eating? I'm thinking some broth would be fine but are there any more solid foods that would be easy on the stomach? I'm starting to feel hungry again.

I'd go with eggs, personally. Fairly mild, decent nutrition, no fiber - assuming, of course, that you're not allergic. I'm sure some would recommend probiotics but I have no experience with them. |

I'm also recovering from the same. I've been eating chicken broth and organic apple-sauce. Doing fine so far. |

DIdn't we just have this questiona few days ago? ANyway, I'd agree with Tricia. Go bland. Bananas are also good. But from my experience, once the germs are conquered, the instestinal tract is usually back in action fairly quickly. |

I'd go with broth made from chicken stock, onion and Jerusalem Artichokes (sunchoke). Or scrambled eggs. |

My family is all sick or getting over being sick and I've been making lots of chicken soup with the meat and lots of vegetables (zucchini, acorn squash, cabbage, lots of garlic, lots of other veggies) and they're eating as much as they can or want. Hope you feel better! |
