I just spied a question titled "Is paleohacks losing steam?". Maybe it is, maybe it isn't. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

But I'm more interested in who's rising up on Paleohacks, with the responsibility/pleasure of being online a lot and asking thought-provoking questions and providing detailed answers.

In year 1, the All-Stars included the likes of Melissa (of the HuntGatherLove variety), Melissa (of the sherpa variety), David Moss, Matthew, Stabby, Patrick, gilliebean, Ed, and way too many more to list.

*Who on paleohacks, with a tenure of under a year or even under six months, is an All-Star?
Where are some of their best questions/answers/comments? What topics do they know a bunch about?
Would they possibly beat the Year 1 Paleohacks Dream Team?*

Natural bias but I do remember the first few months, maybe year, fondly. I thought there was a very friendly, open atmosphere. Dare I say it was more mature? Also, there was a better balance of weightloss-focus and performance/sports-focus. Was it a greater number of slightly older folk? – ben61820 Jul 21 at 14:54

I'm honoured to be included in that list! I'm still around. But my new babe has me limiting my computer time. ;) – gilliebean Jul 22 at 2:20

Wow, so nice to know I used to be an 'all-star.' :) – David Moss Jul 23 at 11:48

Dragonfly- for all things female related...but she also seems to have good knowledge, broadly

FED at livecaveman.com- for real results and not dogma

miked- for obscure questions on chemistry and info on maximizing performance on a high fat, low carb diet (if you're into that sort of thing).

The above are just a few that have been on for less than 2 years (according to their profiles) and that I enjoy reading, regardless of whether or not I use any of the information.

EDIT:

jesuisjuba- epic "NERD ALERT" answers, sweet potato expert, beer connoisseur, and outstanding pictures of food on paleorepublic.com

Kamal- most entertaining questions.

OH, sorry, Kamal you too. I didn't realize realize you were sub 2 years yourself. I really enjoy all of your questions (and there are many), but don't see you answering that much. – foreveryoung Jul 21 at 3:10

No mentions of Nance? She's less than a year old here and happens to be the only user who has the "Epic" badge, earning 200 rep on 50+ days.

Downvoting me for Nance? That's cold! – Matt Jul 22 at 16:08

I think she lurks now, hoarded up all sorts of mad reputation points for the day when you can cash them in for real money. ;) – Matt Jul 22 at 22:38

I think Nance answered literally every question on PHacks for a pretty good stretch there. I think she's probably just letting her typing muscles recover! – FED at LiveCaveman.com Jul 23 at 0:16

Sadly, she hinted that all the negativity was making her consider dropping out. I guess it won. I miss her. She was a wealth of information and support. – Kelly Jul 23 at 5:25

I think she realized she had a PH addiction and decided to drop off for the summmer and attend to real life. – Dave S. Jul 25 at 12:55

If your question is asking about a tenure of under one year then I am casting my vote for Jenny J.

This question and some of the answers have all the makings of a Paleo Hacks Award show night.

We can call it "The Pals"

Anyone know Morgan Freeman? I figure he could narrate the whole thing going in and out of commercials.

The Pals 2013…”And who are you wearing tonight”

Truth.

Joshua! He's funny and always gives really supportive and earnest answers. I also keep an eye out for Lyndsay's answers. I miss Nance. But my all-time favorite is Travis Culp - hands down one of the best minds on the site.

Edit: Ah, and J3wcy. Like his outlook on life.

I am still wondering what the nutrition data is for Human muscle, lean, bone out.

I am still wondering why you want to know that. – Mscott Jul 22 at 0:43
Why is it that the information is available for so many animals yet not for Humans. Wouldn't you like to know exactly what your made of??? Wouldn't everyone? – Bill1102inf Jul 22 at 15:02
5
I think it depends on whether the human in question is organic and free-range or CAFO. – FED at LiveCaveman.com Jul 23 at 0:27

All the research I have done says that humans taste similar to pigs, hence the name long pork. As far as the nutritional value, that seems to be the one thing you're not allowed to talk about on the internet. I, for one, would be willing to donate my body to science upon my death for such a study. I would get no end of amusement out of it while alive. – Varelse Jul 24 at 1:41
I saw a documentary on cannibals and it seems like Human meat is just like animals in the sense that it tastes like whatever the person or animals diet is. They interviewed different cannibals in prisons around the worls and the japanese guy who ate his wife said she tastes like fish, but without the fishy smell. Another eastern european guy said that it was like a really fine ham. It seemed as if they all had different answers. – Team Oberg Jul 25 at 11:47

Dragonfly, for sure. I've learned more from her than anyone else here.

Just want to say that as far as comments only I enjoy Dave S and VB. Can I say VB again?

Some people just have awesome personalities.

Oh, under one year! I'll edit that later. Also likeslardnmayo and Mscott. Good questions. Travis Culp too! And a whole bunch of other people I'll remember later. – Heather Aug 21 at 18:28
