I apologize if this has already been asked, but I couldn't come up with it in a search. I have never been hungry for breakfast my whole life. Any attempts to eat in the morning leave me nauseous. However, I wake up at 6am and by 11am, my tummy is growling up a storm (it is loud and embarrassing). I don't necessarily want to force breakfast on myself, but does anyone have any idea as to why I would naturally not be hungry in the morning? I used to think it was my coffee consumption, but my long stints without coffee didn't change anything.

What time do you stop eating in the evenings. If I eat a lighter or earlier dinner, I am more hungry when I wake up. If I eat later or a heavier meal, I can go a couple hours in the morning before I start feeling ravenous. I think this may be partly due to delayed gastric emptying as a result of a prior eating disorder. |

I never used to eat breakfast, then I started the first time was hard. However, then I started waking up in the morning and I would be hungry. I never used to eat post workout, it was hard for me to eat something. Then I started and forced my body to adapt. Then After I finished a workout I was hungry. Your body adapts to the demands you place upon it, if you do not eat in the morning then why would your body be ready for food? I'm not on board with a lot of the eat when your hungry, I guess I just worked with to many people who toss the "why can't I get stronger, faster or my recovery sucks" and they are not eating enough food to function let alone improve athletically. Just my 2 cents. |

If you aren't hungry, then don't eat. I very rarely eat breakfast. If by 11am you get hungry, then eat. There is no need to eat when your body isn't telling you to. You sound like you are well within a healthy weight range. Doesn't sound like you need to change what you are doing. Is there a reason you want to eat breakfast? |

Eat when hungry. Dont eat when not. Your body is talking to you. Its different from everyone else. Listen to it. Getting enough sleep? Eating late? |
