So, I'm moving to a new apartment next week and want to start growing fresh herbs inside, in a terrarium.

Where do I start?

Cheers, Jared

The container. A drainage layer. Good soil. The right Lighting (a little pricey and will need to be changed every 6 months or so. Even though the light will still work, it won't be emitting the UVA and UVB rays). Seeds. Water. I've had success with this simple set up for naturalistic terrariums for reptiles. I am sure the same protocol would work with Herbs.

Would natural light work? A window. – Jared Krauss Jul 24 at 16:44
Some windows do a damn good job filtering the rays. Not only that, but the sun passing through the window then through the glass of the terrarium will make the inside of the terrarium pretty hot. – Clint Jul 25 at 11:15
