Ok, I was a bit busy during the day, got into the flow of things and forgot to take fish oil. Tried to make it up and took 3g of EPA/DHA right before bed around 10pm. Now it's 02 am (Hong Kong time) and although I have taken Seriphos which usually works wonders I'm wide awake.

Anyone had similar experiences?

Based on alot of self experimentation but also gathering of information from many readers, Seth Roberts http://blog.sethroberts.net/ has found that most people get disrupted sleep if vit d is taken late in the day, whereas, taking it early morning (first thing) helps one to sleep at night.

Same here -- right after dinner and I never have trouble falling asleep. – Ruth Oct 11 at 12:33

It can keep some people up, although different in fat type, coconut oil gives most folks a huge burst of energy, so avoiding it at night is a good idea. Perhaps some of us are able to use the oils in fish oil not just for repairs, but also for energy even though 3g is not a lot of fat.

Thanks for the info. Got a reference? Would like to know more about the reasons? – PoP_Pup Oct 15 at 9:21
I do not, but there are anecdotal ones: raysahelian.com/sleep.html dr-bob.org/babble/20021217/msgs/132141.html – raydawg Oct 15 at 9:58
