The most convenient time for me to work out is after getting off from work, before dinner. At this point, it has been 5-6 hours since I ate lunch, and it will be 30 minutes - 1 hour before I eat dinner.
I believe waiting 30 minutes - an hour after workout before eating is fine. I also see a lot of people who fast for workouts.
My question: is 5-6 hours since my last meal before working out too long? Should I eat a small snack 1-2 hours before work out?
Also, as for my dinner after my workout, should I just eat what I would normally eat for dinner, or should I add something extra since I worked out? I typically eat some form of beef, veggies in coconut oil, and a salad for dinner. Do I need to add something like a sweet potato, or only if I feel bad after the workout?
