I've had a search and couldn't find anything so please forgive me if this has been asked before!
I am currently going through quite an emotionally tolling time and while I normally cope very well, especially since going Paleo, at the moment I simply have no more cope left and have been suffering from anxiety attacks. My Doctor wants to medicate me, my shrink can't help me fix the problem because it's not mine to fix and while family and friends are a great support they also can't fix the problem.
The emotions I am going through are all very valid and not irrational to the scale of the situation and I will not medicate to get through this.
What I am wondering is what techniques you have developed/tried to help you get through high intensity times? Are there particular foods that help or made it worse?
Any suggestions would be great!
UPDATE: a few days into having D3 supplement and 5-HTP I am feeling wonderful. Will be stepping up my exercise regime tonight and slowly increasing fats and carbs. I've had a great weekend which certainly helped. Thanks everyone for the wonderful feedback - hopefully the problems will start to desipate themselves but only time will tell. I have been quite vague on the details as they are deeply personal to those around me but appreciate you all taking the time to respond and for being so caring in your responses
