Hello, :} I'm 19, 5ft10 (173 cm) and 120 lbs (54.5kg - slowly gaining weight, around 4-5 pounds a week).I'm Asian also.

I've been doing paleo since February, nowadays I eat paleo 90-95% of the time.

Since I started, I noticed the skin of my neck being dry, as well as my cheeks' but the latter was kind of always there. Also my cheeks are a bit itchy but that may be the acne that is going off.

I'm eating mostly grain-fed beef as meat. And for my complements, I take: EPA 1440mg, DHA 960mg, Vitamin D3 200IU, Calcium 1000mg, magnesium 500mg, zinc 25mg daily.

Edit: I wash my face with just water twice a day

I've been reading a lot and came up with things like minty toothpaste or lack or iodine. Not sure what to do.

Can anyone help me with my dry skin problem? Thanks in advance

seriously try this: rub olive oil into your face before bed, dab off the excess and go to sleep, wake up and your skin should look a lot better

Can I do it if I have receding acne? and do you do it just when you feel like you need it or like on a schedule like every week? Thanks, – Vittel Aug 7 at 20:40
Yes! some people actually do it to prevent acne, it's called the oil cleansing method, I used to do it every night in the winter but now it's summer i don't seem to need to, just do it now and again – HuntingBears Aug 7 at 21:02
ok, I'll try tonight thanks :} – Vittel Aug 8 at 10:35
This. However, I find olive oil drying for my naturally-dry skin, so I use jojoba instead. – Julie Oct 4 at 19:19

I have found jojoba oil to do the trick beautifully and I use some Green Pastures cod liver oil beauty balm on areas prone to wrinkling.

I stopped using coconut oil because it puffs my face and eyes slightly...and I found it does not moisturize as well as just conditions and smooths.

WTF? 6'11" and you're 120 pounds? I may be stepping into a beartrap, but wtf?

Okay, wait. 173 cm = 5 feet, 8 inches.

You could moisturize, drink a lot more water, take omega-3 supps, and eat more veggies.

– Varelse Aug 8 at 1:01
@Luckie, he first asks me whether or not I need that many complements, then he recommends a skincare product, then he talks about buying products from the UK via eBay, drinking water hydrates the inner layer of the skin, Avoid products w/alcohol, @uie, je pense arreter à un moment mais j'attends d'aller chez l'allergologue pour faire un bilan – Vittel Aug 8 at 10:39

Similar to the olive oil answer, I use unrefined coconut oil on my face every day because I have such dry skin. It's always been that way, but no amount of cream or lotion lasted for more than a few hours. Although it sounds wrong to put oil on your face, I've heard people say that it helps with their acne.

You also might want to exfoliate to get the existing dead skin off your face. I used sea salt with olive oil and it worked fabulously.

Here are some other exfoliant ideas: http://www.yourbeautyschool.com/2011/05/26/4-great-homemade-exfoliant-recipes/#
