Hello all, please pardon my foul title.

I have a few things going on, so please bear with me... been Paleo for just under 2 years now, although I don't really keep count...

Currently I am in England, doing a bee project, and food out here is rather expensive, so I'm not always eating the grass fed goodies.

Recently I feel as if I have gotten lazy and have been wanting to re-evaluate my eating plan, maybe do another 30 days as if I'm a noob. Since the beginning of February I have kinda stopped exercising, well not all together, just not 5 days a week super high intensity. This was due to a move and then just not getting up at 5 to hit the gym. So I never fully reached my goal, but I am not far off from it now, although further than I was before Feb, I still want to hit my goal and maintain it, but that's another issue.

Out here I kinda fell off the wagon a little bit, loads of milk chocolate, they have an awesome chocolate shop here in Nailsworth, good organic chocolate love... chocolate croissants, almond croissants, bread one night, really fell off hard, one night fish and chips, organic sour dough bread oven pizza.

Anyway, before I hit this fall I put a co worker and now friend on to the diet and he is hitting his 30 days, in full swing of it right now, and in this process of realizing I have fallen to shit, and totally am messing up, but I managed to get this guy on it I decided to start a new so to say, even though it has really just been a week of the supreme deviation.

I found the "bullet proof" stuff, and started trying to make coffee and tea like that, its cool, I used to put butter in my coffee years back before all this paleo stuff. Anyway, I haven't really done dairy at all, but here it is, grass fed butter, awesome. discovered goat milk butter, I love it, want to bite it off the stick, haven't gone that far though, I do eat it by the slice, so good.

Then all of a sudden, my skin feels to tight on my body, really like detoxing or withdrawing, not cool, headache, feeling like absolute crap, the day after the pizza which was day 1 returning (2 days ago).

Yesterday, day 2, crap feeling back again after work, that skin feeling tight super uncomfortable in my skin, not good sleep, my pee has been smelling rank, I don't know if its cause I'm drinking too much coffee, or if its ketones, or what, its not dark in color, it just smells...muscle aches and tightness, sore...just horrible...and again today, only before I left work, so I had a kiwi in an attempt to curb it. anyone have any answers?

Have I gone toxic? I eat a good deal of protein and its my understanding that the body will convert that in to glucose before ketosis... I have no idea what is going on, and I feel like absolute shit.

Thank you in advance.

Good luck with everything bro. – lostgoonie Aug 7 at 19:16
Paragraphs help make questions readable. I can't follow what you wrote without too much effort on my part. – miked Aug 7 at 21:45

low carb causes stress imo, add in some potatoes and bananas

It does sound a bit worrying to me Keith. It would be worth writing down everything you eat and drink. There is a good chance it is just a transition phase, but if not, then posting it here would surely get you some advice.

Don't rule out other illnesses, it may not be the diet - you may have caught something nasty!

Sounds like the low carb "flu". Not to worry.

Up your carbs a bit (from potatoes , sweet potatoes, etc.)

Thank you everyone. Sorry if my question wasn't clear. Today I am not doing coffee, in hopes that this smell in my pee will go away, Last night I had some potato. Hoping this all sorts out quick and I can get back on to the usual. AND will be back home in the states in less then 10 days, so my routine will be easy to return to. Looking forward to the California heat.
