This is not the average what to eat for lunch question.

I need ideas on what my husband can take for lunch that he can carry around like a sandwich and work at the same time. He does not sit down for lunch and the only thing off the menu is nuts and seeds, they cut up his mouth. It also can't be to messy or runny because he works around delicate printing machines and co-workers. If its bite sized like just pop into the mouth that is okay.

These are my ideas so far any others would be so greatly appreciated:

Deli meat wrapped around avocado

Cucumber “sandwiches” (meat & sauce between cucumber slices)

Lettuce wrap sandwiches

Beef Jerky

Quiche

Broiled meat patty

Meat salad stuffed mini peppers

Chicken nuggets

Fruit

Larabars

Hard boiled eggs

Homemade muffins

Thanks!

Do you want these to be paleo suggestions? – Dan Aug 8 at 3:34
Please or as close to as possible, also just found out how much mercury fillings the husband has and how badly they are affecting him so before we start removal we have been told to reduce his mercury exposure as much as we can so nothing that comes from the water including duck, fish, shellfish, seaweed etc.. Thanks. – Alicia Aug 8 at 18:03
Okay, well, deli meat is a poor source of animal protein then. And Chicken nuggets usually have some kind of starch or flour mixed in or it's coated with it. Choose your meats carefully... – Dan Aug 8 at 20:21
I make the chicken nuggets and deli meat, sorry for not clarifying :) – Alicia Aug 9 at 19:33

Bacon, Cheese (havarti) wrapped around proscuitto, Cold twice baked potato skins (pancetta, cheese, onion, salsa), Oyster nuggets (I can sometimes find a large container of shucked oysters for less than ten bucks), or clam strips

I recently made meatballs of grassfed ground beef mixed with sardines in tomato sauce. I'm sure you could do a dry version.

Sorry, it was bugging me that I didn't format my list and so I put in commas. Nothing new to see here! – Heather Aug 8 at 15:39
Do you have a recipe for the potato skins? – Alicia Aug 8 at 18:03
No! It was a random idea, but just now found this, which I will try next week: paleomg.com/… – Heather Aug 9 at 4:37
Oh gods those look amazing! If I make those my husband might never get any. Thanks. – Alicia Aug 9 at 19:34

My husband takes bags of macadamia nuts, dried cranberries, and beef jerky. It's really calorie dense, so he's able to get calories in quickly. I couldn't eat that stuff every day (too difficult to digest, or something) but it works great for him. He usually takes a bunch of bags at once and stores them at his desk, so he doesn't have to think about bringing a lunch every day.

Sounds like he'd like pemmican. – Dan Aug 8 at 3:31

[Can opener, napkins and discrete place to drain (or drink) liquid in can not shown] (You can't exactly pop a can of tuna in your mouth on the go) – Dan Aug 8 at 3:31
Buy can with pull off tops. Eat/drink the oil with the tuna. – lostgoonie Aug 8 at 17:17
Liquid is a bit dangerous around machinery, maybe pouched tuna? – Alicia Aug 8 at 17:59
