While on a paleo or primal regimen, has anyone noticed an increased sensitivity to weight/fat gain from falling off the wagon for maybe a few days (compared with not being on any sort of paleo or primal diet to begin with)?

Remember when you started primal/paleo and you lost a ton of water weight in the first week? You'll see the reverse of that when you fall off the wagon for a few days. It's the result of the increased carb intake. Cut the carbs back to paleo/primal levels and the weight will fall back off. |

If when you fall off the wagon you consume a lot of carbohydrates, you will probably retain water which may account for excess weight. Also, the extra calories that come from the junk food may slightly increase your weight as well. |

I've experienced this first hand! When I go on vacation I tend to not be TOO paleo [or at all, eek!]. Get back on that Paleo wagon and you'll see it fall off again. Just don't make it a habit :p |
