I noticed that I have stopped grinding my teeth at night since switching to the Paleo diet, which I can't really ascribe a medical explanation. I sometimes feel weird hunches about things that I am sure are a result of my lifestyle changes.
Have you noticed any small and quirky differences (health and otherwise) to your body since going Paleo or is there something you have a hunch about, but are not quite 100% sure it can be attributed to a more primal life?

I swear paleo has improved my reflexes and throwing accuracy. For example, when I suffer from butter fingers, I find that I often catch things instead of whatever I've dropped failing to the ground. In addition, while "helping" my kids clean their rooms, I find I can and do tend to throw things into the proper bin from across the room with ease. I don't have data on this, but it feels real to me. shrug
EDIT: Had my eyes checked recently and one of my eyes improved. That's the opposite of the general trend as we age. Myopia is yet another disease of civilization.
Also along the lines of tougher skin... I've noticed dramatically increased resistance to sunburn. According to Natural Bias, it's probably the increased saturated fat in my diet.
Saturated fat makes skin cells more resistant to oxidative damage from the sun which can help to prevent SUNBURN, wrinkles, and skin cancer.
I'm naturally pretty pale and sunburn prone, so this is a BIG deal to me!
You mean aside from dropping twenty pounds, my blood pressure suddenly tanking from high into the low normal range, my diabetes resolving itself, and my lipid panel making a marked improvement, in the space of three months?
Aside from no longer having constipation issues or flatulence? Aside from being much calmer and able to tolerate stress?

When I see myself in the mirror in the morning and go "Oh yeah!". I can't really say I've ever done that and meant it until now. Improved self-image is a blessing.
That plus the improvement in teeth, stool, recovery, etc.
No heartburn. Which sort of messes with my lifelong theory that my occasional heartburn was triggered by high-sat-fat meals...
A fairly common experience after going grain-free: all tooth plaque has disappeared.
Stool quality has improved (let's just say there's not much wiping to do any more), although this can be negated by high fish oil consumption (which I no longer do).
Flatulence is diminished and usually odorless.
Chronic nighttime sinus congestion is diminished (eliminated, actually, on workout days).

I used to have miserably painful menstrual cycles. About 24-hours at the beginning of every cycle felt sick enough to call in sick to work (though I rarely did). Ever since going low-carb/paleo about a year ago, I have been magically pain and PMS symptom-free. Even in the unlikely event that I never see another improvement, I will never give up paleo, based on that perk alone.
I have also noticed the breath thing. No more morning breath for me or the hubby!
I've also only been sick 1/2 a time in the last year. I'm fairly certain that a flu bug was trying to get me after we got home from visiting relatives at Thanksgiving. I suddenly felt very body-achy, headachy and spiked a 102 temperature one evening. I loaded up on extra vitamin D3, took a tablespoon of coconut oil and went to bed early. I was 100% myself again the next morning. Thank you, paleo!!
For one, my sleep cycle is different. I get really sleepy around 9-10, sleep hard until 12 or 1, wake up for a bit, and then I'm back down until I wake up (sans alarm) at 6:30 or 7. Seems I've moved to the sleep-wake-sleep pattern and I have no idea why! I feel great, so I'm not complaining, it's just strange.
My alcohol tolerance has gone down. A single glass of wine with dinner now actually gets me tipsy! My husband thinks this is hilarious.
Fewer headaches, even though I have just as many triggers (eyestrain, etc.).
this is so fun! Besides loosing 30lbs, clearer skin, having more energy, no more mood swings, no more picking up every single stomach bug/common cold/flu as it makes the rounds in the office. Also, loving the feeling that I am NOT depriving myself of something!
I have been able to come off my THREE prescriptions to battle my IBS completely and pain free! I feel ALIVE and HAPPY and JOYFUL, something my IBS medicine could never help me with. No more severe bloating, no more awful stomach cramping like someone was stabbing me, no more constipation, no more heartburn keeping me uncomfortable and up at night. No more missing fuctions or parties or gatherings with friends because my stomach is acting up. No more stressing that I have something terribly wrong with me that medical science has never seen before. Wish I hadn't battled IBS for 7 years bouncing from doctor to doctor (and them telling me that "I need more fiber" in my diet and prescribing OTC fiber supplements to put into drinks/food/etc)
something quirky though...I SWEAR I have more hair now. just in general prepaleo I could skip a month or two wiht my waxer, but now there is NOooo way I would skip my eyebrow wax appointment! ha! I'm thinking maybe because there is 30 lbs less of me that maybe it just SEEMS like I have more hair? but maybe I'm getting more vitamins and minerals that encourage hair growth? (anyone have ideas on this?)
