Does anyone know where I could find organic sweet potatoes in Northern California, specifically around the Sacramento/Stockton areas? I was eating a lot of store bought conventional sweet potatoes but they are starting to taste very bad (very spongy and flavorless.) I can't seem to find organic ones anywhere. The company AV Thomas seems to produce organic but they don't respond to my emails.

Do you have a Trader Joe's in your area? They carry organic sweet potatoes in central California.

I get them at Whole Foods in Roseville.

The best tasting ones on the market are grown in clay soil rather than in Sandy soil. Weimar Farms grow them and are certified organic. They are available at Briar Patch in Grass Valley, New Castle Produce and Weimart at Weimar Center of Health and Education. The taste difference is significant!
