Been paleo (with dairy) for about 8 months now. I used to exist on everything we have come to avoid; Grains, fruit, candy, beer, low fat, no fat, you name it. Now, if I consume anything more than a drink or two (whiskey or red wine) I get sick and wake up repeatedly throughout the night (almost like clockwork @ 230 am)
Also, last evening I treated myself to 3 figs, a half dark chocolate bar and 2 dates, which by my standards now is a ton of sugar, but based on a year ago, an amount of sugar I would easily consume during most meals or even a snack. Last night I had heartburn, couldn't sleep, and felt absolutely sour.
Does eating this way increase our sensitivity to things like this? Anyone else have these reactions?
