I live in Switzerland. I'm an American so I don't have much trouble reading even the most technical research related to the paleo argument/philosophy (fully understanding it is another question); but where do I find this stuff in German so that I can hip my friends and shiatsu clients to it? Can any of you suggest useful blogs, websites etc. in any of the four official languages of Switzerland (English ain't one of them...)

Thank you Patrik, thank you Kikilula!Yeah, exactly, come to my website urgeschmack.de for regularly updated German-language Paleo-ness. I've kind of completely ditched the Zone Diet hints a couple of months ago, in the big picture they just did not make sense anymore. You might also want to check out the hu-ga.de for the occasional sports-nutrition-related article and more recipes. – Gone Jan 2 2011 at 12:22

Kind of an obvious suggestion, but this book is a classic.

Also, the idea of a Romansh paleo primer made me laugh a language nerd laugh. I would love the audio book--I love listening to it being spoken.

Don't think the Lutz is that obvious of a suggestion; he's not really all that well known, and when he's mentioned it's often to say "hey this guy wrote before Atkins and nobody realizes it." There's an English translation / new edition, one can find it at Amazon, just do a book search for "Life without Bread." – Paul Nov 20 2010 at 2:32

For French, a contemporary is Jean Seignalet who wrote L'Alimentation ou la troisième médecine, which is very Paleo and contains a whole theory on how diet is the cause for many modern diseases. He seems to put much stronger emphasis on eating meat raw and avoiding denatured proteins. Gut flora is also a strong aspect of his book.

The German Facebook Groop Primal/Paleo in Germany is now working on PaleoWiki.de where you can find some information in German.
