For me, it is sixteen.

Wondering how much you weigh? I was telling a friend that its impossible to over-eat a protein (unlike tortilla chips at the mexican restaurant in which I need to stay away from!) Not saying your big or over-eating..just wondering...because I love that you can eat that many...really. – FanOfSunshine Nov 23 2010 at 23:00
I am 160 lbs., 5'10". I actually ate those 16 eggs in a span of about 2 hours, after which I felt inclined to post the question! Thanks Lisa, I am flattered! :) – PrimalJoe Nov 24 2010 at 2:54

I've eaten hundreds of eggs in one bite! We're talking caviar, right?

LOL. That's too funny. :) – Leia Nov 24 2010 at 11:44

None of you are trying hard enough. Here's an 88 year old man eating 25 eggs a day. Have that!

Here's a recent thread about a Paleohacker who eats 50 eggs a week: paleohacks.com/questions/14221/… , and a link to the Cool Hand Luke clip: youtube.com/watch?v=AYJFZwxoi_8 – Ed Nov 23 2010 at 14:12

I ate an entire "primal" quiche for dinner one evening, on top of 5 eggs for breakfast.....that make 17. Yikes.

The number seven (7) is a really great number. ;)

4 for breakfast everyday. But then many days we'll do an omelet for dinner and maybe one snuck in via mayonnaise etc for lunch so i've definitely done somewhere in the range of...12+ in one day. Love them.

You said 1 day not one sitting. Could do dozens in a day.

The most I can remember was a morning with 6. Quiche for lunch (6-8). And then discovering for dinner that all I had were eggs. So 6 more. Going with a comfortable 20. But have probably done more.

Hehe, yeah, eggs are such a convenient fallback food for any meal, especially when you realize the fridge has gotten rather bare! – Eva Nov 24 2010 at 4:34
...bare fridge ... or you're just down-right poor.... – Allie Dec 9 2011 at 15:15
bare fridge in that case. There are cheaper sources of calories, but few so convenient and always tasty. – sean Dec 10 2011 at 22:01

I regularly eat 24 in one day, 12 for breakfast and 12 for dinner. Been doing this for about a month now. I'm curious to see what my cholesterol numbers will be when I get my physical done. I previously had very low cholesterol.

I generally have three in the morning and three pre-workout/flamenco class with a fried banana. I used to carry three hard-boiled eggs in my pocket and munch them as I walked to work, but soon realised how hard-boiled eggs equal constipation, not to mention the odd looks I would get from people.

From the eggs not the constipation!

I had 7 today, and that's a personal record haha. I usually only have 2-3, but I was feeling particularly lazy today and eggs are SO easy.

Wow, I feel like a wimp. I've only eaten about 6. Hard to imagine slamming down the protein in 18 eggs! Protein makes me feel full.

3 or 4 for me, at least straight up maybe more when deviled, but then it is so hard to keep track! – Vrimj Nov 23 2010 at 4:34
True, the deviled ones are easier to eat. Maybe it's the fat they add to them. – Eva Nov 24 2010 at 4:32

Ever Easter I eat about a dozen deviled hard-boiled eggs. Any other day I have only 2-3 for breakfast.

Well if I factored in breakfast, lunch, and dinner and possible baking that included eggs it could be around 10 I'm figuring.

Wow. I don't think I've ever eaten more than four or five and that's probably deviled eggs.

Wow, yea I thought my 4 egg omelet was a big one. Sometimes I indulge in an egg protein shake but I don't think it counts.

I feel like a wimp; I can eat max 2! =/

When I was on the WD I almost lived of eggs & dairy for protein. Unfortunately I developed an egg white intolerance. I stopped eating them for quite some time, now I try to cycle my egg (and protein sources in general, as Paul Chek recommends) consumption.

I dated a vegetarian for a little while. Her being vegetarian basically meant I was a vegetarian. So, I ate eggs as my main source of protein. A dozen a day; so 84 eggs a week. The constant egg for protein got pretty old pretty quick, though.

Somewhere between 20-25 eggs. It was last Easter.

I feel like a wuss. I eat a 3 egg omelette (Well, plus turkey/ham/whatnot) at 8am and I'm full till 2-3pm... I can't imagine trying to eat 20-25 eggs in one day...

when you guys do that many eggs, do you tend to discard some of the whites?

nope...whole eggs! – PrimalJoe Nov 28 2010 at 4:23

I would eat 20 for breakfast especially after a hard workout.

I could easily down another 30 for the rest of the day.

Eggs are costly my side of the globe - Australia.

My biggest number of eggs in a day was 8, but because eggs are economical, I often eat that many eggs in a day. I love eggs.

Probably around six? Three for breakfast, and when dinner rolled around and I was feeling lazy, three more. :)

I usually only eat about three a day, though. Cheap protein; helps stretch my budget considerably.

I recall that Margaret thatcher lost weight in preparation for a campaign by eating 28 eggs per week.

Correction:

In preparation for her photo call when about to become prime minister.

really? how random! I wonder if she was eating anything else? – texasleah Nov 23 2010 at 17:14

I think she was also eating kittens and small children. – Minnie The Minx Dec 8 2011 at 2:15

Sadly, something like 14. I need to pick a day where I do an omelet for breakfast, boiled eggs for lunch, and a gigantic grand scramble for dinner.

The most in one day was 24, 12 egg Omelet, and the rest were hard boiled
