A friend just got back from hongkong and since I'm a tea lover he brought me back some genmaicha tea. The ingredients at the back say "brown rice, green tea and powder tea". Well I'm not eating the rice so I was wondering if this type of tea is in accordance with the paleo .lifestyle

well, whenever I think of what is or isn't paleo I think "would a caveman find this in the wild?" (I disregard things like salt and spices! ha ha) I would like to think that before agriculture palaeolithic people found the occasional rice, and maybe ate it when it was in season (I trick myself this time of year into eating fresh corn on the cob!) and maybe they even made tea when they found it...

and if you are thinking of it as no carbs ever, then maybe it's fine too...you aren't ingesting the rice, just the yummy nutty toasty flavour (I'd do it!!!)

Yes. You aren't eating the rice. Go for it.
