Isn't it the most awesome thing ever? On a scale of 1 to 10 rate your love for bone broth/gelatin. I'm consistently making bone broth each week now after taking a break (shame on me, I know.) I've done over 15 different bone broth/meat broth/gelatin recipes so far! I feel like bone broths are the new "thing." If you're not making bone broth nowadays, you're not hip.

Been experimenting with fish and seafood broths lately. Even better than land animal broth. Ordered some dried and fresh insects on Amazon and been making "Beetlejuice Broth" and adding crushed insects into my broths. I also recently met someone who can get me cheap snake and gator meat so I'll be making Swamp Broth.

I've also done up to 10 days of bone broth/gelatin fasting and I felt pretty good. Definitely better than simply green smoothie/juice fasts.

I dunno if this post will last long since it's not 100% a question but I just added all the leftover greens from my Farmer's Market run to the last batch and found it rather enjoyable (beet, carrot, and kale greens yummmm). I also like adding lemon juice to it since I really only drink it and sometimes cook with it, adds a great flavor to it, almost like a tea!

i just started making it when i came on this site. i've only made chicken bone broth twice so far but it's so delicious! i look forward to roasting my chicken on sunday and then making the broth on monday.

i haven't tried other bones yet just because i don't know how. seafood sounds good but i usually get boneless fish and fish in a can.

Do it with beef bones or pigs feet. I find that those two make the "heartiest" broth. – BoneBrothFast Oct 18 at 1:01

My broth goes to 11. That Swamp Broth would make a pretty legit enema, too. Probably won't sting as much as the snake piss, and is certainly more achievable than a fecal transplant. Have you tried your broth as a base for homemade shampoo? I've experimented with mouthwashes, but the soaps never quite end up smelling too great.

I do rinse my mouth with it in lieu of oil pulling and I think it's doing some good for my gums. – BoneBrothFast Sep 4 at 23:11
Swish broth AND throw some down your sinuses with a neti pot at the same time. It's magical. – Neil Sep 5 at 19:24

SO much!! I drink it every day with all my meals and usually throw in grass fed marrow bones with some ACV and just leave it for 12 hours on my slow cooker! Sooooo yummy just straight like that from the pot :) and then for round 2 and maybe 3 of those same bones I throw in some chicken or pig feet, tendons, or oxtail for extra gelatin and yum.

I've tried fish head/fish broth and chicken broth as well but nothing matches the deep flavor of bone broth!

Signed, the biggest bone broth fan ever!

do you roast your marrow bones first or can you just put them in a pot and go? – joanna Dec 1 at 3:21

Lately, bone broth has been my BIG THING in the kitchen. I love it! I had my slow cooker going this weekend and made an amazing chicken broth and chicken soup. Broth is a perfect example that highly nutritious food tastes good. Drink broth and get healthy!

I had some bones in the beef pack, 'for the dog', but I hijacked some and made soup. Poor dog!!
