So I was wondering how much coconut oil(or oil in general) do you use in a week?
Since this is my first week paleo I just realized that I may be using a jar of coconut oil a week. Does that seem like a lot?
I use mostly coconut oil, about a tablespoon a day--a little to coat the pan when I cook my omelette and a spoonful straight. I eat minimal butter and no olive oil (most is not really olive oil and it would probably oxidize before I would be able to use it all up). I get the rest of my fats from meat, fish, nuts, yogurt, and avocados.
About 8oz bacon fat (I keep it in a mason jar), 2 sticks butter, and probably a cup, cup and a half or so of olive oil per month. That's cooking for 2, one of whom is a big eater.
I haven't tried coconut oil yet, and I'd like to get some leaf lard online.
