I believe I am actually allergic to corn in addition to it not being paleo. Are there any good corn free makeup or other hygiene products?

Edit: Are there any specific brands of cosmetics that you all like? Corn can listed by many other names anyone use makeup they no to be corn free?

I should ad that my job really does not cater to the idea of me going makeup free, so makeup is a must at least on work days. – Veganvspaleo Sep 17 at 15:46

What about mineral makeup? It's usually mica, zinc oxide etc. Some companies use corn in their finishing powders, but it's always mentioned, and with minerals you don't need a finishing powder anyway.

I really like EDMs (everyday minerals) new jojoba base, but there are tons of companies that don't use any corn in their products.

Some good mineral companies- meow, silk naturals (they have the best lip glosses, and lip sticks, natural ones),alima,*lucy minerals* (this base covers absolutely everything), sassy minerals

Also, what is paleo makeup? Megan elizabeth (a 30bananas a day person) has a tutorial on youtube where she does her makeup with beets, berries, and stuff like that. – mM Sep 8 at 14:17
I just meant more natural and not full of chemicals, I'll check into that video. – Veganvspaleo Sep 10 at 19:23

Coconut oil is a fabulous moisturizer. You can also use it to wash your face or to remove make-up. It's especially nice in the winter when skin gets really dry.

I actually aleady use it, and LOVE it. Best moisturizer! – Veganvspaleo Sep 7 at 20:42
Not true. Best moisturizer is 100% SHEA BUTTER. It even prevents callus! – VB Sep 8 at 7:30
olive oil is the best, coconut oil gave me spots cos it's saturated fat – HuntingBears Sep 8 at 17:53

Is makeup even paleo in the first place? Oh yeah, tribal body paint... Personally, I forgo the whole makeup rigamarole altogether. Aside from natural moisturizers like coconut/olive oil/shea butter etc I don't think healthy skin/eyes/lips need to be painted to be beautiful.
