I've fully adopted eating pure Paleo the past month, and it's something I'd like to continue. However, I was busy with other things in my life so I never managed to weigh myself. It turns out I lost about 15 pounds, which kind of scared me since I was already borderline underweight.
So I bought a digital scale and have been weighing and calculating my food the past few days. That serving of salmon that I thought was 400 calories [turns out it's more like 150]. All that asparagus I ate? Turns out that was about 30 calories. The "high calorie" avocado I was eating every morning [only 200 calories????]
I know nuts are very high calorie and I could eat those, but I've read on here and other places to be wary of their phytic acid. I got some walnuts because I read they had less phytic acid, but I'm still wary.
I don't know, does anyone else have this problem? The internet is telling me it's very dangerous for my body to not be at 1200 calories a day, and I can't figure out how to get to even 800.
I'm fine with being skinny, I just don't want my organs to shut down [or whatever happens].
Oh and I can't eat fruit because I have weird "hypoglycemia" [it's actually why I started eating Paleo, and it's fixed this problem...it's the only thing that does] issues.
