Why does it feel so good? If I feel unusually good and relaxed when I do it, does that mean there is something internally that isn't working well? What would it be?

Does everyone need an explanation/rationalisation for everything? Does everything have to have a reason? (Yes I'm am thinking in a postmodern 'incredulous' way at the moment... (Sorry if you're offended, not directed at you per se). To say something that may be mildy an 'answer' to your question, perhaps massage relaxes muscles etc, or the oil is moisturising your skin. Or for whatever reason you pleasure in it in a way that's analagous to someone liking the scent a flower. These just guesses, I don't know! :) |

I would be willing to bet that you would get the same feeling by massaging your scalp without the coconut oil. It's a very relaxing activity. |

Can't say I've gone that route, coconut oil is a little spendy to use for my scalp massages. I have used olive oil on my skin though, I guess that's kinda in the same ballpark. -Matt |

It seems a far stretch to jump to the conclusion that something inside you isn't working well just because something feels great. Instead, I'd conclude that it was just one damn good massage. . . A good scalp massage feels fantastic no matter what, and coconut oil is the king of all moisturizing oils - with a fabulous aromatic scent (scent therapy), strong anti-biotic action, lasting moisture. No wonder you feel good! |
