What is your favorite activity to use in Tabata workouts? Sprints? KB Swings? Turkish get-ups? What is your go to Tabata session?

Hate Tabatas and I make sure that I let my trainer know. But it doesn't seem to prevent him from putting them in my workouts! – MiMintzer Sep 19 at 19:37

Air squats. Ouch. Also, double-unders. That one's a killer.

My go-to is any time I cannot exercise outside, and forced onto the bike and trainer. I hate being on the bike indoors, so if I have to I'd rather be thinking about puking than being on the bike. 5 Tabata repeats! Go!

Definitely burpees. I'm left dying on the floor afterwards.

Why choose? Do 8 rounds of double-unders, followed by 8 rounds of KB swings, followed by 8 rounds of air squats. I guess this is 12 minutes of hell but what's wrong with that?

I tend to use Tabatas as a workout "finisher" if I can do 3 of them I didn't go hard enough in the first one! – juju Mar 13 at 13:10
A 4 minute workout is just too short. I shoot for 20-40 minutes. – UncleLongHair Mar 13 at 23:10

Planks with a 15-lb plate on my back. Yowza.

Also - tabata Airdyne. Probably one of the hardest workouts I've ever done! – Ruth Sep 19 at 19:35

Spartan Pushups

1) Tabata "Angie" It involves a Tabata of pullups, pushups, situps, squats - 1 min of rest between rounds

2) Tabata Row Target is 1,000m. For every 5m you're short of 1k, you owe the exercise gods a burpee.

I literally get nervous before the row. It sends you deep into your pain cave, there's no doubt about it.
