So in an effort to gain weight while running 30+ miles/week and using weights at the gym, I'm adding more carbs to my diet and the easiest/cheapest way to do this, for me at least, is to eat white rice. I'm Asian so it's not hard to find white rice, but I don't like how plain and bland it is.
I don't like it plain, but I've tried it cooked in a broth/soup from chicken bones, red dates, goji berries and Chinese medicinal herbs, and it's not bad. Cooked in coconut milk, it's also really nice and rich and coconutty.
If you include white rice in your diet, how do you prep it to make it taste not so plain?
