While trying to adher to increasing my vegetabe intake, I'm experimenting with vegetable smoothies. I love the kale green smoothie. Ran out of kale and tried brochelli. Not as good but didn't get hungry. I'm adding protein to my diet by eating hard boiled eggs and chicken. I would love to more vegetable smoothies. I also wonder I'd I'm eating too much fruit. I calculate in one day I ate 4 serving of vegetables and 6 servings of fruit. I'm female and med body size frame and do CrossFit 4 times a week. Good muscle mass but too much body fat. I figure eating fruits and veggies has to be way better than getting too hungry and eating fast food. Also I understand some people eat a smoothie and add the protein in it as well??? I'm not a fan of eating raw eggs, so what other option is there??

Get some fats(coconut oil, butter etc) in your diet, that should make you full and satisfy your appetite. If your goal is to lose the fat, i would avoid the fruits. That is a lot of fruit, if you cannot remove it out of your diet keep it to 1-2 servings. I'm guessing you don't do dairy?Well if you do, then try finding a source for raw milk. Personally i'm not a fan of green smoothies, but you should definitely add a avocado to your smoothie. That will keep you full for a while. Another option would be using coconut milk. I've made some great coconut milk smoothies that don't require a lot of ingredients. |

Steak, eggs, coconut oil and kombucha (whatever the bloody hell that is) in a blender. Drink. |
