Hi, I've been eating low carb for about two months. Everything about it is great. I have more energy, not hungry all the time, slimmed down (about 10 lbs, but I wasn't overweight b4).
Then football season started. I'm quite a "day drinker" at games. This year I have only been drinking no carb flavored water (Ice) and vodka. I drink quite a bit, but do not become wasted drunk or have any problems while drinking. I avoid carbs as well (some almonds, etc, but nothing out of the ordinary).
Twice, I've come home after games, not had anything to drink for hours, sometimes even taken a nap, then eaten dinner. First time I had one piece of thin crust pizza. The second time I had just the toppings off of a piece of pizza.
Within an hour of each dinner, I get nauseous, freezing cold, and end up vomiting.
Other info: after drinking while low carbing, I have gotten some hives (2-3 after a night out). I did some reading and decided to try a supplement that has amylase in it. Haven't had a hive since.
Also, I've "cheated" other times without alcohol (ice cream, a cupcake) and no hives, no sickness. There seems to be something with the alcohol earlier in the day.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Vomiting like that is scary. I really like low carb, and want to learn how to make it work with my lifestyle. (I know, I know, the easiest solution is stop drinking!)
