So I have hypothyroidism. On top of that, I think I have FODMAPS/SIBO. After starting naturethroid and paleo last winter, I lost weight and felt great. My doctor suggested I switch to synthroid. At the same time, I Was running a 10 mile road race, so I upped my carbs. I gained weight, my skin was terrible, digestion did not work, could not sleep, etc. I switched back to naturethroid but kept up with carbs and my stomach still was not great. I found there was sort of a venn diagram of foods I could eat that I could actually digest. Other foods I could digest, but would give me indigestion when eating, or give me heartburn. A month ago, I sort of stopped eating vegetables and fruit. I love both, so this isn't because I don't like them, but I really wanted to heal my stomach. Now I eat: grass fed beef, 8 ounces in morning. 2 tablespoons of coconut butter lunch is either roast beef, turkey burger, fish, with coconut butter, sunflower seed butter, or sunflower seeds. snack is sometimes chocolate with sunflower seed butter, or just sunflower seeds dinner is chicken or fish. Thoughts? am I getting enough nutrients? I know this isn't sustainable long-term but want my stomach to heal! Thank you!

you may want to add bone broth to your daily diet and a few servings of organs each week. |

What's with the preponderance of sunflower seeds and sunflower seed product? Doesn't sound easy on the GI tract to me. |

When I eat that low-carb, I get hypothyroid symptoms. What kind of carbs were you eating? |
